"Development of a Green Roof Strategy for 足球比分,即时比分直播 - Scientific Supervision"
Green roofs offer a whole range of ecological and economic advantages over conventional roofs. Their thermal properties help reduce the urban heat island effect and also reduce energy used for heating and cooling buildings. Furthermore, green roofs reduce noise, filter pollutants out of the air and open up unused spaces. Green roofs can also partially take over lost functions of natural habitats or stepping stone biotopes in urban areas and therefore contribute to the increase of biodiversity. The focus of this project is the contribution to urban hydrology. Green roofs catch rainwater and increase its evaporation on roof surfaces. As a result, discharge points due to heavy rainfalls are reduced and delayed, which reduces the risk of inland flooding and the urban water cycle can be approximated to that of a natural catchment area.
The department for "Environmentally Sound Urban and Infrastructure Planning" at the HafenCity University of 足球比分,即时比分直播 (HCU) is working together with the Ministry of Urban Development and Environment in the development of 足球比分,即时比分直播's green roof strategy, which is one of the main pillars of 足球比分,即时比分直播's climate change adaptation plan. The main focus of the tasks of the HCU is in the modules "Water Management" and "Transferability". Research results and practical experiences on water management effectiveness of green roofs are currently worked on. 足球比分,即时比分直播's strategy is to be assessed by comparing it to experiences in other cities, as well as the possibilities for transferring 足球比分,即时比分直播's approaches. The continuous, long-term measurement program of precipitation and discharge at the new HCU building site is intended to provide information about runoff and deceleration of water, especially during heavy rain events.
